Biking raises money for cancer - WTNH

(WTNH )-- Out of breath, sweaty individuals pressed themselves, contributions, and the peddles for the Connecticut Sports Foundation today. Work, rate and the tracks, the crucial things of spinning class. But, words never rang more correct than at today's "Cycling Against Cancer." Most people are driving the peddles for somebody else. One girl includes a record to keep in mind, respect, and help, although some have a psychological enthusiasm. "I also had a friend I lost a couple of years ago, who battled cancer. She was only 39, mother of 2, so that it gets everybody," said Katie Dechabert. As she would hit the bike anyway, coming back for one reason she sees this as a win/win. "I believe the adrenaline release, yeah good return for your buck," said Dechabert. Not just is it great fun, it is great exercise and better yet for one's heart. "It seems great. It feels as though we are helping people and that is what we want to do.A We only want to simply help people," said Heather Theriault, of Shoreline Fitness. And they are helping little Payton Vincent. He's paying his first year of life, fighting for it. Struggling a rare, extreme type of brain cancer.
